This is an AGE Tournament
Minimum Age 50 as of 12/31/16 for all brackets
5 Year Age Groups
[Age Groups with min. of 3 teams will NOT be merged because this is the CA qualifier for the National Tournament. Age Group is that of the younger partner - you can NOT play down below that group]
In Addition there are Two Brackets: Upper (4.0-5.0) and Lower (3.0-3.5) [Only Upper Medalists 1st-3rd receive USAPA Tournament Points (see below for more details)]
National Qualifying: All 1st - 4th place California finishers and the out-of-state qualifiers in each event and age division, in the Upper Bracket only. Lower Bracket players wishing to compete at the National Games must play up. Doubles and Mixed Doubles teams made up of 1 in-state and 1 out-ofstate athlete will be designated as an out-of-state team. Athletes must qualify in each event and can compete in all 3 at the 2017 National Senior Games.
This Tournament is the ONLY California Qualifier for the 2017 National Senior Games in Alabama!
